Kamworks is a young and innovative solar energy company in Cambodia, aiming at providing high quality solar energy solutions to for rural people. Based in an off grid location in the countryside, 45 minutes from the capital Phnom Penh, Kamworks itself is also solar powered. When developing and selling solar energy systems to rural people one faces many technical but also cultural and marketing challenges. Come and join this rich environment and be a part of a team of creative thinkers, ‘can-do’-spirited engineers and innovative marketeers.

Making the solar roof

Accommodation
Next to the Kamworks building, there is a training centre called the Solar Campus, owned by our friends of the foundation Pico Sol. The Solar Campus can be temporary accommodation for those that like the stars and the sound of criquets and frogs at night. It has (slow) internet, dorms and private rooms, there is a fully equipped shared kitchen and it is 100% solar powered.

Kamworks continuously has professional volunteers working on various projects related to accounting, human resources, electronics, marketing, IT, and many other subjects. As a professional you can help our Cambodian staff develop themselves.

Student Jobs
Every year some 10-20 students join Kamworks to do an internship or graduation project. Please note that we require a minimum stay of 4 months in Cambodia in order to make the project efficient. Currently we look for enthusiastic and talented students in the following fields:
