A proposal for a 100kWp solar system has been evaluated by EEP Mekong and has been made it through the first round of selections. Kamworks and GreenVentures are now looking for a suitable location for installing the 1000m2 solar system. |

The project, which is funded by the WorldBank, offers rural Cambodians the opportunity to buy a solar system on credit. Kamworks and Sunlabob, a leading solar energy company from Laos, are cooperating for this project. For the purpose of this project, the current import tax of 7 to 15% on solar energy products will be temporarily lifted. Cambodia’s solar energy companies hope that the import tax exemption on solar energy products can be made permanent. |
